Chicago Area Lawyer and Fund Finance Partners Co-Founder Zac Barnett

Zac Barnett is a Hinsdale, Illinois, attorney who co-founded Chicago’s Fund Finance Partners (FFP) in 2019. During his career as a lawyer, he has garnered over two decades of experience in fund finance, establishing a reputation as a pioneer in the industry. His clients have included major investment banks and fund sponsors. Before establishing FFP, Zac Barnett worked on several of the nation’s largest and most complex fund-financing transactions.

As a leader at FFP, Mr. Barnett presents clients with a depth of qualitative and quantitative data, which helps fund sponsors compare lenders and efficiently secure the best terms at optimal price points. He has worked with a wide range of financing structures for fund sponsors and has deep knowledge of fund-financing products. He previously served as a partner at Mayer Brown, LLP, during which time he established himself as an internationally renowned fund finance, private equity, and commercial lending lawyer.

Zac Barnett studied marketing at Elmhurst College and earned his juris doctor from the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago. When he is not leading operations at FFP, he attends industry events hosted by organizations such as the Fund Finance Association.
